Barowsky Pinot Noir 2019
Barowsky wine is composed of the four best barrels of each vintage. Less than 1,000 bottles are made each year from this single clone, estate grown Pinot Noir. The soil is composed of multi-layered, mineral-laden clay that was once San Pablo Bay sea beds. This mineral character is very much part of the small slopes of La Cruz Vineyards unique terroir and comes through in the wine. The vineyards were planted in 1989 and to this day are still completely hand harvested with a focus on organic farming techniques. Lay down this bottle until may 2020 before opening. It was made to age gracefully. The soft silky tannins, pronounced minerality and complex fruit structure is worth the wait. Pair with skin on Salmon cooked over a Robata Grill. Cellar this wine and opened for special occasions.
